Fortnite Graphics Review

This Chapter 2 season 1 has featured outfits such as that of the imperial storm trooper. It Costs 1500 v-bucks in the store.

Rippley, Journey and Turk are new skins that are debuted this season.

Fortnite was designed with low poly graphics, this is advantageous to the development of the game as it

  1. Offers better FPS throughput.
  2. Reduces bandwidth size as 3D models have less memory.
  3. Allows the artist to be creative in model design.
  4. Provides a friendly kind of look, to a violent game, probably contributing to its ESRB of teen.

Many players joining the community this was a new perspective as games such as Call of Duty online, offer high poly graphics, realistic special effects such as blood splatter and gun fire.

Initially it seems there was a backlash from the community on the graphics being too cartoonish but eventually, people became accustomed to the low poly models. The Fortnite development team did not compromise on quality though, the visual effects are captivating. The variety of models and skins that can be purchased using v-bucks also utilizes the flexibility that comes with low poly graphics to be creative.
